Dear reader,
If you've been wondering how to sew an unlined version of the Freja Vest, you're not alone. This has been the number one question I’ve received since releasing the pattern, so I decided it was time to do something about it!
I'm happy to share a free add-on for an unlined version of the Freja Vest. This variation is perfect for lighter fabrics, warmer weather, or simply when you want a softer and more relaxed look. Unlike the fully interfaced and lined version, the unlined Freja is only stabilized along the edges, which gives a beautiful drape and a more casual feel.
The add-on includes an alternative front facing and a simplified order of construction using front and back facings. You can finish the edges with either a clean serged edge or binding, depending on your fabric and preference. Just a quick note: these instructions are not a full step-by-step guide. They're meant to be used in conjunction with the original instructions and/or the YouTube sewalong, so make sure you have those handy.
You’ll find the unlined variation included in the updated files when you purchase (or re-download) the Freja Vest PDF pattern.
Happy sewing!
Delphine

I purchased the Freda vest pattern and I am stuck on pattern sizing. According to the finished pattern measurements, I am a size 46 bust and a size 52 waist. I don’t know whether to cut a size 46 or 52. Any suggestions?
