Dear readers,
This is a post I’ve been meaning to write for a while, and I’m both excited and nervous to hit publish. I finally launched my first full sew-along on YouTube, and it’s for the Freja Vest.
For a while now, I've been meaning to share more video content with you and I thought Freja would be perfect for an experiment. The pattern is detailed and includes some slightly trickier elements like welt pockets and a full lining bagged by machine. I knew that many of you would appreciate a visual guide to accompany the written instructions. So I filmed it all myself, fabric advice, interfacing tips, pockets, lining, everything.
Is the video perfect? Absolutely not. The light changes. I forget to say things. There’s background noise. But I’m still proud that I followed through and put it out there, and I hope it helps you feel more confident as you make your vest.
You can find the full sew-along on YouTube and the Freja Vest pattern is here on the website. As always, the video is intended as a supplement to the instructions and resource page—not a replacement.
If you watch it, let me know what you think. If you sew along, leave me a comment on Youtube; I’d love to hear your thoughts.
It would mean a lot to me if you subscribed to my channel there, more video content is coming soon!
Happy sewing,
Delphine
