Dear readers,
I shared my testers' versions of the Karlie Skort on Instagram yesterday, and I wanted them to have a permanent home here on the blog too, so that you can come back to them when you are choosing your view, your size or your fabric.
The test ran from the end of August through September in both size ranges, and the versions below go from size 38 to size 56, mostly as the skort, View A, and twice as the shorts, View C, in fabrics as different as viscose twill, suede, a lined cotton eyelet, stretch cotton, cotton suiting, and denim with linen.
The tester versions

@valentina.tazza made View A in size 40, in a viscose twill.
@creatiesbymarie made View A in size 54, in a suede fabric.

@nicolettasara_ made View C, the shorts, in size 38, in a cotton eyelet that she lined.
@sewsilverluna888 made View A in size 48 at the hips and 52 at the waist.

@alishasparks_ made View A in size 52, in a stretch cotton.
@nmarkelz made View A in size 38, in a cotton suiting.

@whatnoramakes made two versions of View A in size 40, one in a wool and cotton suiting and one in denim with linen shorts.
@textil.is made View A in size 42, in a lightweight wool and a linen and cotton blend.

Our lovely tester made View C, the shorts, in size 56, in cotton.
Thank you to all my testers for their time, their questions and their beautiful work, which helped me make the pattern better.
If you are making your own Karlie, the Karlie Skort resource page gathers the tutorials for the techniques used in the pattern, including my bluff patch pocket video and the Freja Vest sew-along for the double welt pockets.
Karlie comes in sizes 34-60 (H: 86-152cm/34-60"), in two size ranges, 34-46 and 46-60.
Karlie is 15% off until Saturday 10 October, no code needed, and newsletter subscribers get an additional 10% off their entire order with the code JUSTKARLIE.
And if you are already wondering what to sew next, you will find all my skirt patterns gathered in one place.
Which of these versions would you sew first?
Happy sewing,
Delphine
