Alek is a very fitted knit top reminiscent of a bustier. Bands in self-fabric cleanly finish its wide sweetheart neckline. The unusual long sleeves are raglan in the back and connect to the front bustier. The top hits slightly above the low hip.

Samples are sewn with Tencel™ Lyocell/spandex, cotton/spandex, and bamboo/spandex blends.
This pattern has negative ease. I recommend using rib knit fabrics with body, a stretch percentage of 100%, and good recovery, such as cotton rib knit or poly blend rib knits with a spandex/elastane/lycra content of at least 5%. For fabrics with less spandex, you can choose a size down, and for fabrics with more (around 10%), you can use the size up.

I draft and grade my sewing patterns for a height of 5’5” (1.65m) from size 34 to 60 (see below). When applicable, the size range is divided between 34-46, developed for B/C cup size, and 46-60, developed for a DD cup size.
If your body measurements are at least one size outside of the size range, I grade up or down at no cost.

This is a PDF sewing pattern, you will receive access to a download link immediately after completing your purchase. Files are delivered in a zip file meant to be decompressed.
The zip file contains:
- Layered PDFs for both size ranges, in three formats:
- Print at home (A4 and US Letter)
- A0
- Projector
- Instructions in English and French: Cutter's Must, order of operations and step-by-step illustrated instructions
You need to open the pattern files with Adobe Reader and ensure that printing options are set to "Actual size" or "Custom scale 100%".
