Iman is a versatile skirt inspired by minimalist 90's fashion that perfectly complements a variety of outfits. The skirt features four back darts and a curved waistband resting slightly below the natural waist for a tailored, sleek silhouette.
The classic lined and unlined versions showcase Italian pockets, a front fly, belt loops, and front and back vents that enhance mobility and add a touch of fun by revealing a flash of leg.
On the denim version, the details are highlighted by topstitching, and the side of the front fly is inverted. A flat-felled seam replaces the back vent and the front one by a slit.
Wear Iman casually with a Tyra tee or as part of a tailored set with the Veronica Vest!
Sizes: 34 - 60 (more information).
Samples are sewn denim, ramie, linen, and wool suitings (super 110s).
For this pattern, I recommend medium-weight woven fabrics with some drape, such as wool or cotton suiting, wool crepe, lightweight wool tweed, cotton twill, Tencel, linen, linen-cotton blends, or denim.
For reference, I wear the white, grey, and denim samples in size 36 graded to 38 at the hips. Lilli wears the navy sample in size 52 with no alterations, and Pauline wears her green version in size 44 at the hips and 50 at the waist.

Sizing
I draft and grade my sewing patterns for a height of 5’5” (1.65m) from size 34 to 60 (see below). When applicable, the size range is divided between 34-46, developed for B/C cup size, and 46-60, developed for a DD cup size.
If your body measurements are at least one size outside of the size range, I grade up or down at no cost.

PDF Pattern information
This is a PDF sewing pattern, you will receive access to a download link immediately after completing your purchase.
Files are delivered in a zip file meant to be decompressed. The zip file contains:
- Instructions in English and in French with: a cutter's must, a printing layout, an order of operations, and step-by-step illustrated instructions.
- Layered PDF patterns pieces for both size ranges in 3 formats: print at home for US letter or A4, A0, and Projector;
You need to open the pattern files with Adobe Reader and ensure that printing options are set to "Actual Size" or "Custom size 100%".
