Two views, cute details, and a very clean finish.
The Camille Top is a fitted, fully lined sleeveless top with a shaped bodice, a defined waist and a soft flare toward the high hip. It is designed for woven fabrics and includes two views built from the same base, with two quite different personalities.
View A has a keyhole opening and a center front closure with fabric-covered buttons and loops.
View B takes the same silhouette but has asymmetric overlapping fronts secured with ties.

Design Features

Both views are shaped with front and back princess seams for a close but comfortable fit through the bust and waist, before releasing gently. The top is fully lined and finished by bagging, which means the inside is as clean as the outside, with no exposed seams. Both views close at the neck with a collar band and tie.
  • View A: Keyhole opening below the collar and a center front closure with fabric-covered buttons and delicate loops. Polished, feminine and a little special.
  • View B: Asymmetric overlapping fronts secured with ties, creating a diagonal line and a bit of movement. More graphic but equally interesting.

Suggested Fabrics

Light to medium weight wovens with structure and a little drape: linen, linen blends, cotton poplin, chambray, shirting and similar fabrics. The cover sample is made from cotton.

Avoid fabrics that are too thick. Camille is designed for woven fabrics only.

Sizing

Available in sizes 34-60, in two size ranges:
  • 34-46: drafted for a B/C cup
  • 46-60: drafted for a DD cup
Choose the size closest to your bust measurement. For size 46, use the 34-46 range if you are a C cup or below, and the 46-60 range if you are a D cup or above.

Drafted for a height of 5'5" / 1m65. If your measurements are at least one full size outside the chart, smaller than 34 or larger than 60, I grade at no extra cost.

I am 5'3" / 1m60 and wear the floral, polka dot and denim samples in size 34 with no alterations. Lilli is 5'5"/1m65, she wears View A in a floral cotton in size 50 at the shoulders progressively graded to 52 at the hips. Pauline is 5'7"/1m70 and she wears View B in an olive viscose/linen blend in size 44 with 3/4"/2cm of added lenght and no shaping at the waist.

Sizing

I draft and grade my sewing patterns for a height of 5’5” (1.65m) from size 34 to 60 (see below). When applicable, the size range is divided between 34-46, developed for B/C cup size, and 46-60, developed for a DD cup size.

If your body measurements are at least one size outside of the size range, I grade up or down at no cost.

PDF Pattern information

This is a PDF sewing pattern, you will receive access to a download link immediately after completing your purchase.

Files are delivered in a zip file meant to be decompressed. The zip file contains:

  1. Instructions in English and in French with: a cutter's must, a printing layout, an order of operations, and step-by-step illustrated instructions.
  2. Layered PDF patterns pieces for both size ranges in 3 formats: print at home for US letter or A4, A0, and Projector;

You need to open the pattern files with Adobe Reader and ensure that printing options are set to "Actual Size" or "Custom size 100%".
