Whether you're running errands, catching the breeze on your way to the café, or heading into work, Eva is the kind of skirt that brings a sense of ease and elegance to your everyday life. This ankle-length A-line skirt is available in two views and designed to highlight beautiful fabrics through thoughtful, minimalist design.

Both versions sit at the natural waist and are finished with a clean-facing. The hem is narrow and delicate for a refined finish.

  • View A is bias-cut, creating a fluid drape that gently skims the body. With only side seams and a left side invisible zipper, this view offers a streamlined silhouette that feels effortless to wear.
  • View B is constructed with eight gores, with subtle flare added below the hips for extra movement and swish. It closes with an invisible zipper at the center back.

For this pattern, I recommend woven fabrics with drape such as linen and linen blends, silk crepe, charmeuse, viscose, lightweight wool suiting.

I wear View A in dark green heavy linen and in satin viscose in size 34 and View B in lightweight brown linen in size 36. Pauline wears her rust viscose crepe sample of View B in size 50 at the waist graded down to 46 at the hips. Lilli wears the light green linen sample of View B in size 52 at the waist graded out to 54 at the hips.

Sizing

I draft and grade my sewing patterns for a height of 5’5” (1.65m) from size 34 to 60 (see below). When applicable, the size range is divided between 34-46, developed for B/C cup size, and 46-60, developed for a DD cup size.

If your body measurements are at least one size outside of the size range, I grade up or down at no cost.

This is a PDF sewing pattern, you will receive access to a download link immediately after completing your purchase. Files are delivered in a zip file meant to be decompressed.

The zip file contains:

  • Layered PDFs for both size ranges, in three formats:
    • Print at home (A4 and US Letter)
    • A0
    • Projector
  • Instructions in English and French: Cutter's Must, order of operations and step-by-step illustrated instructions

You need to open the pattern files with Adobe Reader and ensure that printing options are set to "Actual size" or "Custom scale 100%".
